anthropologie upcycled windows in downtown joplin

Taught my first art class today!  Worked with young SPIVA artist in Joplin to create a bee-hive window. Why I keep stuff

This week I have been battling for the need to become Amish and have a simple life with few things in my house.  We have been preparing for the Younglife Garage Sale and I have said to myself many times I don't NEED this!  My daughter brings a friend home from school and they ask for tea......which = Tea Party in my mind.  I get out the cutest tea pot and cups and sugar cubes from the last tea party two years ago.  Two eight year old girlies decide on a tea party from around the world and after a box of sugar cubes....... they get all my tea pots out.  Now I know why I saved the one from my best friend, my aunt, my mother-in-law, my brother and my own.  Some things are meant for keeps!

Off my starbucks cup...."Why are we inspired by another person's courage/  Maybe because it gives us the sweet genuine surprise of discovering  some trace, at least, of the same courage in ourselves.

As my family prepares for our annual Relay for Life, I think of my Aunt Imogene and My Pop who had more courage than all of us put together.  Let's find a cure!

My husband usually handles the back side of the photography business.  I shoot and he processes, stores and orders.  Yesterday I drive in the driveway he has MY camera out, the tri-pod I have never used and guess what he gets these awesome not edited straight off the camera shots!  Love the one of my dog Skip!
